Recently we done application email notification alert Job for our client and delivered success.
Email notification to user for each and every resources added by user or faculty or admin dependes upon user’s requirements (more than 150 open options) and frequency (i.e daily or weekly or monthly)
The cron job should send notification Email (resources details) to users depends on their specific category requirements meet with resources categories.
We done this used core PHP & MYSQL.
